“Unlike being released from prison in the past, where they throw you out at just a bus stop and tell you Good luck. Eagles nest provided me with a place to live, support and inspiration to do the right thing this tie. I’ve been truly blessed by the program. I can actually see a clean sober future ahead."

“I have been a member of Eagles Nest Ministries for the last year and a half and myself am an ex-convict. Through the love and support of all the members and faculty at Eagles Nest I have finally found a place of peace and stability within myself. They are doing a great work of God which is making an impact on our community.”

“I was incarcerated at 30 years old and I lost everything I owned. My family abandoned me shortly after that and I was classified as a homeless individual. I spent the last two years in prison, upon release, I lived at a halfway house. I came to Eagles Nest after reaching a good friend of mine and plan to move forward from here.”

"It is no secret that Eagles Nest Ministries is in the trenches. Pastor Jeff Williams leadership and congregation continue to address the physical and spiritual needs of our community. ENM does this by creating an environment that focuses on biblical teaching and spiritual growth with the understanding that God has established two institutions for the salvation and well-being of man. These institutions are the church for our Spiritual needs and the home for the physical. By providing a "home" for the broken that includes spiritual direction and guidance, Eagles Nest becomes a "safe place" for acceptance and healing."
“Hello, my name is Justin Vogt and I’m a convict, TDVJ # 1246875. I first heard about Eagles Nest Ministries in prison and that they sponsored a ½ way house through Soaring Eagles Ministries. I wrote them for info as I was going to come up for parole. I received an application which I filled out and was denied. I prayed about it knowing I would need a place to go that was positive…. After 14 years in prison and 5 of these years in solitary confinement, I was released on parole and had to wear a GPS monitor for a year…Soaring Eagles Academy and Eagles Nest Ministries helped me through it all and it has been a ride…Thanks to Pastor Jeff Williams (aka “my Dad”), I successfully graduated the 1-year discipleship program and it has enriched my life beyond measure…” I went to New York and seen my momma for the first time in 16 years as well as the rest of my family. I reconciled with my estranged brother who I wasn’t on speaking terms with for years!! I know I cannot thank Pastor Jeff, Eagles Nest Ministries or Soaring Eagles Academy enough for helping me build a new and positive life for myself. Even though I know it was not either of them. We were just following down the one and only true path narrow as it is, to our wonderful Father in heaven who really deserves all our thanks and praise. In his Glory do we let our light’s shine forth saving the world one soul at a time.”

“I was released from prison with nowhere to go. The decisions I made, my lifestyle before prison left all my family relationships either broken or non-existent. Although I was changed, I wanted a different life; my past left me with almost no options. Reluctantly my brother allowed me to stay temporarily. Knowing my time at my brother’s house was running out, I began to pray. While I was incarcerated, I had heard about Eagles Nest. I began to attend the Wednesday night men’s group where I was welcomed with open arms, into a sense of family I had not ever known. They furnished me with spiritual and practical loving guidance. They helped me get a job, but it was not just a job, because the people there also accepted me as I was without judgment, with patience and understanding. The atmosphere there, as well as at Eagles Nest was so charged with the Holy Spirit. It was obvious to me these were people I could trust, truly people of God who had my best interests at heart. People who understood the ways I had been damaged. They understand what my needs are and what it takes to help me and others like me to repair our hearts, our relationships with our family, with society and most importantly our relationship with God. Without this support I know it would only be a matter of time before I went back to the only life I have ever known. Back to a statistic. I’m quite sure I could go around the room and more of you than not have been affected by someone like me whether someone you love or maybe you’ve been a victim of hurt or crime committed by someone without options for housing, or work, or just a lack of social skills. I don’t make excuses for my choices, or others like me. But at some point, I hope someone can see the cost we all pay for a broken world and make a choice to make a difference. Make a difference in someone’s life, make a difference in the community. There are 150 people a month coming into Montgomery County from TDC, with no real or feasible opportunities to acquire the essential needs to be a functional member of society. Employment, transportation, and most importantly the emotional and spiritual support to heal our hearts and repair our lives. Eagles Nest, Soaring Eagles Academy is a uniquely comprehensive dedicated to rebuilding lives by creating true disciples of God, using biblical principles and unconditional love. I could never describe in words adequately the tremendous impact Eagles Nest, and especially Pastor Jeff Williams has made on my life. Here I’m no longer an offender, no longer a number, no longer just a criminal. Through this program I’m learning how to be the man God designed me to be.”
